“Rest time is not waste time. It is economy to gather fresh strength… It is wisdom to take occasional furlough. In the long run, we shall do more by sometimes doing less.”
- Charles Spurgeon
Quote of the Day.
Wise words from one of the most prolific preachers and writers of his age, Charles Spurgeon. Sometimes, even when there are things that need to be done, one of the wisest things we can do is rest. If we take the time to refresh body, mind and spirit, we will get more accomplished in the long term. A well-rested state results in higher levels of productivity and achievement during the work that follows. This is especially important to remember in a day and age where we never really leave the office behind. Work hard, rest, repeat!
I hope you all have a good Sunday and are able to rest today in preparation for the week ahead!
