“To dare is to lose one’s footing momentarily. Not to dare is to lose oneself.”
- Soren Kierkegaard
Today’s quote by Soren Kierkegaard states a simple truth about life. To dare (to risk) something will make us feel uneasy for a short amount of time – but the alternative is to never truly find ourselves.
Most dreams in life require us to step outside of our comfort zone and venture some amount of risk. Whether that dream is a short-term one like finding a new job or a long term one like switching careers or relocating to another state – there is a period of uncertainty that we will go through. But if we can make it through that time of unease, the result could be a dramatic, positive change of our lives.
Consider what your dreams are. Is it your lack of daring that is holding you back?
