“We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives.”
- John F. Kennedy
Thanksgiving week 2012, Quotes about Gratitude:
In yesterday’s quote from Albert Schweitzer, it was said that we “have cause to think with deep gratitude” of those in life that have inspired us or spurred us on to greater things. Today’s quote from JFK takes that one step further. He reminds us that we should not just think with gratitude about others, but actually take the time to stop and thank them.
In another quote, JFK goes on to say
“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
- John F. Kennedy
In other words, John F. Kennedy was firmly of the belief that we should stop to thank those that make a difference in our lives, and then go on to live a life that expresses that gratitude.
More good thoughts to ponder during the holiday season!
