“And He has filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding and in knowledge and in all craftsmanship; to make designs for working in gold and in silver and in bronze, and in the cutting of stones for settings and in the carving of wood, so as to perform in every inventive work.
He has filled them with skill to perform every work of an engraver and of a designer and of an embroiderer, in blue and in purple and in scarlet material, and in fine linen, and of a weaver, as performers of every work and makers of design.”
- Exodus 35 : 31-32, 35
Another Sunday, another day to rest and recharge for the week ahead. The theme for this week’s “Quote of the Day” series is going to be creativity. Not confined to the fields of art, film and stage, creativity is something we all possess to some degree.
Creativity is also something that we can build and cultivate within ourselves. This does not mean that we will all become painters, or that we all should become painters. Creativity can serve us in our daily lives, our family lives, and our careers. Creativity at home can help us to solve simple problems in inventive ways – saving us stress that might otherwise ruin our morning. Creativity at work can help us to “think outside the box” and solve problems in new and novel ways – helping to boost our careers over the long term.
In short, we all need a bit of creativity! I look forward to exploring that with you throughout the coming week.
In the meantime, have a relaxing Sunday!
