“A goal is a dream with a deadline.”
- Napoleon Hill
What are your dreams? What is the timeline on those dreams? A common fate that we fall prey to is a dream with a timeline of “someday.” What we fail to realize is that “someday” dreams will almost inevitably become “never” dreams.
The distinction we miss is that dreams need to become goals before we can achieve them, and goals require… deadlines. Once a deadline is set, the remaining requirements of goal-setting will begin to fall into place. ”What sub-goals do we need to set?” ”What is the deadline on each sub-goals?” And so forth.
In light the discussion above, ask the initial questions again: What are your dreams? What is the
timeline deadline on those dreams?
What do you need to work on during the coming 12 months to progress toward those dreams?
