“Failure doesn’t mean you are a failure it just means you haven’t succeeded yet.”
- Robert H. Schuller
Quote of the Day.
Part of overcoming our fear of failure is redefining how we think of failure. For many of us, failure is a crushing defeat that directly reflects the core of our being: to experience failure is to prove that we are a failure.
To avoid the risk of being a failure, we avoid the risk of failing.
As Robert Schuller points out in today’s quote, that is an incorrect mindset – and one that will only hold us back. When we consider failures to be lessons-learned, and combine that with a “don’t quit” attitude – success is eventual, not just possible. If you discover every possible way to fail, but keep trying, success is inevitable.
With this mindset, fear of failure is a fear of inevitable success.
