Conquer Fear

Get Out and Get Busy“Inaction breeds doubt and fear. Action breeds confidence and courage. If you want to conquer fear, do not sit home and think about it. Go out and get busy.”

- Dale Carnegie

Quote of the Day.

Dale Carnegie was a man of many quotes.  His wisdom regarding personal improvement has weathered popular opinion for decades and still remains relevant today.  What does he have to say regarding fear?

In today’s quote, he reveals one large piece of advice that we can apply to overcome our fear of failure: Go out and get busy!

Action breeds the confidence and courage necessary to conquer fear and succeed.  The result is a positive-reinforcement cycle:  Action eliminates fear which leads us to further action, and so forth.

Meanwhile, inaction breeds doubt and fear.  Fear, in turn, breeds inaction.  This turns into a vicious negativity cycle that can consume a person’s entire life, if they let it.

Take Dale Carnegie’s advice and act today - even if just one small step.  What can you do today to work towards your dreams and past your fear?
